Nayron holds a Law Degree from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2006), an MBA in Project Management from IBMEC and a post-graduate qualification in Criminal Law and Compliance from the Institute of Economic and European Criminal Law (Idpee).<\/span><\/p>\n

He began his career as a lawyer at Aroeira Salles in 2006 where he developed extensive knowledge in the area of cost engineering, successfully advising clients in respect of various public and private projects, especially in the infrastructure, energy and oil and gas sectors. Nayron has significant experience defending clients in proceedings before control bodies, especially the Federal Court of Accounts, relating to some of the most significant projects in Brazil including oil refineries, subway systems, football stadiums, airports, water supply projects and highways.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2010, Nayron became an associate at Aroeira Salles and, between 2010 and 2012, he coordinated the Audit Courts\u2019 control department. Throughout his career, he has expanded his legal practice, which now includes the legal management of complex infrastructure contracts, including concessions; representing clients in respect of criminal actions and administrative impropriety actions; advising on public tender processes, PPPs and RDCs; filing actions for the judicial review of decisions in TCEs (State Audit Courts), as well as defending clients in proceedings before control bodies – especially the Federal Court of Accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2017, Nayron moved to S\u00e3o Paulo to manage the S\u00e3o Paulo office. <\/span><\/p>\n

Nayron has successfully represented clients in high value and complex proceedings before the Federal Court of Accounts including successfully proving the regularity of the price for the construction of a complex hydroelectric power plant and thus showing that evidence of losses to the treasury that would now total more than R$ 375 million was unfounded. Nayron\u2019s advice also led to the approval of contract renegotiations for the implementation of a thermonuclear power plant with an agreed value of over R$ 1.2 billion as well as the removal of indications of irregularities of over tens of millions of reais in the construction of highways, railways, sanitation works and complex buildings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nayron is a founding member of the Brazilian Institute of Law and Control of the Public Administration (IBDCAP) and he has been a member of the Special Study Commission for the creation of standard rules on “Budgets and Price Formation of Infrastructure and Building Enterprises – ABNT \/ CEE-162.” He currently actively participates in the Airports, Roads, Urban Mobility, Water Resources and Basic Sanitation and Petroleum and Natural Gas Committees of the Brazilian Association of Infrastructure and Base Industries (ABDIB).<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2014, he received a “Professional of the Year” award from the Brazilian Institute of Costs Engineering (IBEC) for his contribution to the development of cost engineering and the construction of a better Brazil.
