Luciana graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais Law School in 2009, she undertook a post-graduate qualification at the Minas Gerais State Pontifical Catholic University in Procedural Law in 2012 and, after being approved in 2017 in the selection procedures of the UFMG and UERJ master’s programs in first and third place respectively, she is currently enrolled in the Master’s Degree Program at the UFMG Law School in Procedural Law and has been developing studies on Res Judicata under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Érico Andrade.
Luciana joined Aroeira Salles in 2009 as an intern and became an associate lawyer in 2010. She worked in the firm’s Belo Horizonte office from 2010 to 2013, in the Rio de Janeiro office between 2014 and 2016 and, since then, again in Belo Horizonte. Currently, she is a senior lawyer in the Rio de Janeiro Team and in charge of cases related to clients based in Rio.
Luciana has extensive experience in judicial litigation in all instances, with special emphasis on proceedings related to the recovery of losses during infrastructure works (airports, ports, railways, subways), in particular working on technical matters along with assistants, experts and corporate staff, for the structuring and evaluation of judicial collection claims, both prior to the filing of lawsuits and in the technical expert phase. She has experience in conducting collective actions (public civil, improbity, popular actions), writ of mandamus and annulment actions of administrative acts that are damaging and harmful to clients.
She also advises on administrative litigation in particular actions arising from analyses developed by the Federal Court of Accounts, Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office and Contracting Agencies, the management of public and private contracts, and administrative proceedings, especially tendering processes, related to infrastructure works, such as railroads, oil and gas, ports and highways.
